Unlike most apps, Keepoint operates entirely offline. This means:

• We don't collect your personal information
• We don't track your usage patterns
• We don't store your notes on any servers
• We don't have access to your voice recordings
• We don't require an account or login

2. Data Storage

All data created in Keepoint is stored locally on your device:

• Notes: Saved in your device's local database
• Voice Recordings: Temporarily stored during transcription, then deleted
• Settings: Stored in your device's local preferences
• Language Models: Downloaded once and stored locally

3. Voice Transcription

Keepoint uses OpenAI's Whisper model for transcription:

• Transcription happens entirely on your device
• No internet connection is required after initial model download
• Your voice never leaves your device
• Temporary audio files are deleted after transcription

4. Permissions

Keepoint only requests essential permissions:

• Microphone: To record voice notes (only when you tap record)
• Storage: To save notes and language models locally
• Internet (first use only): To download the language model

5. Third-Party Services

Keepoint doesn't integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external connection is a one-time download of the Whisper language model from our CDN.

6. Data Export and Deletion

You have complete control over your data:

• Export notes as PDF or text files anytime
• Delete individual notes or all data
• Uninstalling the app removes all local data

7. Children's Privacy

Keepoint doesn't collect any data, making it safe for users of all ages. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, as we don't collect any information at all.

8. Updates to Privacy Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we'll notify users through the app. The "Last Updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent changes.

9. Open Source Commitment

Keepoint is open source. You can review our code on GitHub to verify our privacy practices. Transparency is fundamental to our commitment to privacy.
